Prayers for a married couple
Prayers for Israel (Jews)
I've been using some of these prayers for around 30 years, I memorized some of the prayers from my book, and I use them in my everyday prayers.
Here are a few examples of prayers in my book:
Bless [him], when [he] comes in and when [he] goes out, and cause [him] to be a blessing to others (Gen 12:2, Deut 28:6). Let your works be seen for [him], and let your pleasantness be upon [him], [he] wants to walk agreeably with the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. Help [him) to do this and establish the works of [his] hands for [him]. (Ps 90:16,17) I pray [he] enter the promise land, flowing with milk and honey (Exo 13:5). I want [him] to enter your promised rest daily, and like a newborn baby desire the sincere milk of the word, so that by it [he] can grow (1 Pe 2:2). And satisfy [him] with the honey that comes from the rock (Deu 32:13; Ps 81:16). Bless [his] land Lord, with the precious things of heaven, with the dew, and with the deep that lies below. Let your teachings come down as the rain, and your speech be formed as the dew, as raindrops on tender herbs, and as heavy showers upon the grass. Bless [him] with the best fruits brought forth by the sun, and the chosen produce put forth monthly. With the eminence (or chief things) of the ancient mountains and the distinguished things of the everlasting hills. With the excellent things of the earth, and its fullness thereof. Let your favor be upon [him], and let all these blessings come upon [his] head. (Gen 27:28; 49:25; Deu 32:2; 33:13-16) Experiencing the promise land can at times be a battle. When [he] is in need Father, I want the sun of righteousness break out with healing in its wings, then [he] will go out and grow, like a calf of the stall springing about in the open pastures. (Mal 4:2) You know the thoughts you think towards [him], thoughts of prosperity and peace and not for harm, to give [him] an expected hope. (Jer 29:11)
Notes: Psa 90:17 (KJV) "And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us … "; I translated v.17 as follows; "Let your pleasantness be upon [him] "; the word "beauty" can also be translated pleasantness. Another Hebrew meaning of the word "beauty" is; agreeableness. Milk, honey, grain and manna are symbolic of God's word. Wine is symbolic of God's joy. The sun represents the righteousness of Christ shinning in our hearts. (Ps 37:6, NIV) He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. (Matt 13:43, NASB) Then THE RIGHTEOUS WILL SHINE FORTH AS THE SUN in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear. Grass, or herbs is symbolic of people (Ps 90:5; Isa 40:7). The word grass in Isa 40:7 can be translated as green grass, or herbage. "… like a calf of the stall that springs about in the open pastures." The Hebrew word for "calf" in Mal 4:2 means; a (male) calf (as frisking round) especially one nearly grown. I added the words; "in the open pastures".
Help [him] to walk in love, love is patient, and kind. It does not envy, does not boast, and it is not proud. It does not behave improperly, it seeks not its own interest; is not easily provoked, and it does not make a list of wrongs. Love rejoices not in injustice (or unrighteousness), but rejoices with the truth. Endures all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and perseveres all things. [He] wants to be clothed with these attributes, which comes from you, for you are love, and your love never fails. (1 Cor 13:4-8)
I pray and desire that [he] be filled with the knowledge of your will, with all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that [he] walk worthy of you, and in everything does what is pleasing to you, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of you. Being strengthened with all power, according to your glorious might, into all endurance and patience (or longsuffering), with joy, giving thanks to you Father, for you have made [him] able to share in the inheritance of the saints who are in the light, and you have delivered [him] from the power of darkness, and have transferred [him] into the kingdom of your Son, in whom [he] has redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins (Col 1:9-14).
